A CENTURY OF STEWARTSHIP
Watson Land Company traces its origins back more than 200 years to Rancho San Pedro — the first land grant awarded to a private citizen in Southern California. In 1784, King Carlos III of Spain granted 75,000 acres to Spanish soldier Juan José Dominguez, laying the foundation for what would become Watson Land Company. This book chronicles the company’s evolution over the past century, with Costea Photography contributing the majority of the contemporary-era imagery.
